The secretive Mermaid Club will be re-opening its doors for for the third year in a row this May to host a special pop-up performance at Weston-Super-Mare’s historic Grand Atlantic Hotel. Once again its talented performers and staff will be whisking guests back in time with an immersive experience with a distinctly modern spin.

The show’s cabaret style setting ensures that the audience is always at the centre of action as the story unfolds. So, watch out if you book, you could be sharing your table with one of our fabulous cast members .

This acclaimed immersive show features music from hit Broadway shows and Hollywood films, including Chicago, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, and Burlesque, with songs made famous by the likes of Beyonce, Billy Holliday, Frank Sinatra, and Ray Charles.
Step back into a golden era, where cabaret clubs and speakeasies really were the only places to see and be seen. Be careful though… you never know when a raid might take place, so always be ready to hide that ‘Bath Tub’ gin!

Diners will be guided through the evening by our charismatic ‘Mistress’ of Ceremonies, who joined ‘The Mermaid Club’ from the world of dusky underground nightclubs and prohibition bars. Your ‘MC’ will not only provide the haunting backstory behind each our singers, circus performers, and floor staff’s colourful lives, but she will also join the ensemble to tell those stories through song, dance, and the magical world of circus arts. Their stories are of unrequited love, jealousy, treachery, and hopefully the triumph of love in the face of adversity, in this themed two-hour cabaret experience.

The show is performed in an informal cabaret style, with seating at shared tables (groups can be seated together on application) and drinks available to purchase throughout the show.

This special May show will take place on Friday 16th May 2025 at The Grand Atlantic Hotel, Beach Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 1BA. The doors for the venue’s hotel bar will be open for you to purchase pre-show drinks before the doors open at 7.15 pm, when you will be greeted by one of your hosts, and escorted through to the Club’s performance room ready for the show’s scheduled to start time of 7.45 pm.
